Most couples come to me a little nervous about being in front of a camera. Worried they'll feel stiff, that they'll miss the emotional moments, or that photos will get in the way of actually enjoying the day. I completely get it. My whole approach is built to take that pressure off, so you can just be present and soak it all in.
I'm Scott Maclean, the photographer and videographer behind Maclean Photo + Video, based in Kelowna in the heart of the Okanagan. With 10 years of experience behind the camera, I've documented weddings across British Columbia and beyond, and my style is warm, natural, and documentary. No stiff posing and no barking orders, just easy, gentle guidance that helps even the most camera-shy couples relax and look like themselves.

My Approach & Philosophy
I believe your wedding day should feel like you, not like a photo shoot
My goal is simple: to capture the real moments of your day, the glances, the laughter, the quiet tears, the unscripted hugs, while still making sure you end up with beautiful, natural portraits you'll love for years.
For most of the day I hang back and quietly document what's actually happening: the details, the candid in-betweens, the people you love. When it's time for portraits, I give calm, simple direction so nobody feels awkward, and I keep things short and relaxed (usually 20 to 30 minutes for couple portraits) so you can get back to the party.
What matters most to me? That you feel comfortable and at ease all day. That your photos and film feel true to who you are as a couple. And that years from now, they take you right back to how the day actually felt, not just how it looked.
