Documentary wedding photography means photographing your day as it actually happens rather than staging it. Portraits still happen — 20 to 30 minutes of calm, simple direction — then you go back to your own wedding.
Photo and film, one team
Booking both together means one point of contact, one shared timeline, and two people who have worked the same day a hundred times. No two vendors quietly competing for the same three minutes of golden hour.
Delivered three ways
I shoot digital for reliability and 35mm film for texture. Every final image arrives in colour, black and white, and film emulation — a gallery of 500 photos means 500 in each. Sneak peeks land within 72 hours.

I'm a Kelowna wedding photographer and videographer, a music lover, and a bit of a romantic about the little in-between moments. My style is warm, natural, and documentary. I chase real emotion and give calm, simple direction, so your portraits still feel like the two of you.
From intimate mountain elopements to big lakeside celebrations across the Okanagan, my job is to make you feel comfortable and looked after, from our first hello to the day your gallery lands in your inbox. I work throughout the valley, including Penticton and Vernon.

Common questions
Do you shoot the photos and the film yourself?
I photograph every wedding personally. When you book photo and video together it becomes a two-person team, so neither side of the day is compromised — nobody is putting the stills camera down to grab a shot of the speeches, and there is only one timeline and one point of contact for both.
How soon do we see our photos?
Sneak peeks arrive within 72 hours of the wedding, so you have something to share while the day is still fresh. The full gallery follows in 3 to 4 weeks, delivered privately online with every image in three finishes — colour, black and white, and film emulation — and a $50 to $100 print credit on the half and full day collections.
Do you travel outside Kelowna?
Yes. I am based in Kelowna and shoot across the whole Okanagan Valley — Penticton, Vernon, West Kelowna, Lake Country — as well as Vancouver, Victoria and destination weddings further afield. Vineyards, lakeshores, mountaintops and backyards all get the same coverage.
What happens if it rains?
We shoot anyway. Okanagan weather turns fast, so I plan covered and indoor options with you ahead of time and stay flexible on the day — shuffling portraits to a break in the cloud is normal, not a crisis. Rain light is soft and forgiving, and some of my favourite frames have come out of it.
What is included in every collection?
Every wedding collection includes continuous coverage with no hourly gaps, a private online gallery, and sneak peeks within 72 hours. Photography collections add hand-edited images in all three finishes plus real 35mm film; the half and full day collections also include a complimentary engagement session.
